Legal &
Policies.
The terms, policies and customer information governing purchases, bespoke furniture, delivery, returns, refunds, warranties and the use of the MEBLER website.
These policies apply to purchases made through the MEBLER website and, where applicable, other distance sales arrangements operated by MEBLER LIMITED.
MEBLER is committed to selling furniture transparently, responsibly and in accordance with applicable UK consumer, e-commerce and data protection laws.
Terms &
Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the MEBLER website and purchases made from MEBLER LIMITED.
By using this website you agree to use it lawfully and in accordance with these terms.
Where you purchase goods from MEBLER, these terms form part of the contract between you and MEBLER together with the product information, price, delivery information and any bespoke specifications expressly agreed with you.
Consumer protection: Nothing in these terms removes, restricts or limits a consumer's statutory rights where the law does not permit those rights to be excluded.
Orders &
Contracts
When you place an order online, you are making an offer to purchase the relevant goods on the terms displayed during the ordering process.
The website will provide the relevant order information before you complete payment.
MEBLER will acknowledge receipt of your order. A contract will be formed when MEBLER accepts the order and sends confirmation of the contract, unless the order is rejected before acceptance.
Correcting errors
Before completing an order, you should carefully check the product, dimensions, quantities, materials, finishes, delivery information and total price.
Where the website provides an opportunity to correct or change information before payment, you should use that function before submitting the order.
Order acceptance
MEBLER may refuse or cancel an order where there is a genuine pricing error, product availability issue, inability to fulfil the specified order, suspected fraudulent activity or another legitimate reason.
Where MEBLER cancels an order after payment has been received, any amount due to be returned will be refunded using the applicable payment method.
Payments &
Online Checkout
MEBLER accepts payment through the payment methods made available during the online checkout process.
The payment methods, total amount payable and any applicable delivery charges will be shown before the order is submitted.
By completing an order, you acknowledge that the order contains an obligation to pay.
Payment authorisation
Payments are processed through the payment service made available by the website. MEBLER does not intentionally receive or store complete card security information where this is handled directly by the payment provider.
Payment providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Payment failure
If payment is declined, reversed or otherwise fails, MEBLER may delay processing the order until valid payment has been received.
Bespoke &
Custom Furniture
MEBLER offers made-to-order and bespoke furniture, including products that may be manufactured according to customer dimensions, materials, finishes, hardware, designs and functional requirements.
Customer specifications
Where you provide dimensions or specifications, you are responsible for ensuring that those specifications are accurate and suitable for the intended location and use.
Where MEBLER provides drawings, measurements or specifications for your approval, you should carefully check them before giving approval.
Design approval
Once a bespoke design or specification has been approved and production has commenced, changes may not be possible or may result in additional costs and delays.
Any significant additional cost will be communicated to you before it is incurred where reasonably practicable.
Bespoke cancellation rights
Certain genuinely bespoke or personalised goods may be excluded from the statutory consumer cancellation right where they are made to the customer's specifications or are clearly personalised.
However, simply describing a product as "made-to-order" does not automatically remove the statutory cancellation right. The actual nature of the product and the customer's specifications will determine whether the exemption applies.
Pricing &
Product Information
Prices shown on the website are the prices applicable at the time of ordering unless an obvious error is present.
The total amount payable, including applicable delivery charges, will be communicated before the customer completes the order.
Bespoke furniture may be priced according to dimensions, materials, design requirements, finish, hardware, quantity, delivery requirements and other agreed specifications.
Pricing errors
MEBLER takes reasonable care to ensure that prices and product information are accurate. If an obvious pricing error is identified before acceptance of an order, MEBLER may contact the customer to confirm whether they wish to proceed at the correct price.
Delivery &
Fulfilment
Delivery arrangements depend on the product, production requirements, destination and delivery service selected.
Estimated delivery dates or timeframes will be communicated during the ordering process or after an order has been confirmed.
For bespoke furniture, production times may be longer than for standard collection products.
Delivery address
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and relevant access information.
For large furniture, customers should ensure that entrances, doorways, staircases, lifts and other access routes are suitable for the furniture ordered.
Delivery delays
MEBLER will make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed of significant delivery delays.
Where the law provides specific rights concerning delivery times, those rights will continue to apply.
Cancellation
Rights
Where a consumer purchases eligible goods online, the statutory cancellation period generally lasts 14 days from the day after the consumer receives the goods.
The customer does not normally need to provide a reason for cancellation.
After notifying MEBLER of cancellation, the customer generally has a further 14 days to return the goods.
Certain products are excluded from this right, including goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised where the statutory exemption applies.
Important: MEBLER will identify applicable cancellation restrictions for bespoke or personalised products before the customer becomes bound by the relevant contract.
How to cancel
A consumer may cancel an eligible order by sending MEBLER a clear statement explaining that they wish to cancel.
Cancellation requests should be sent to: info@mebler.co.uk
You may use the following wording if you wish to cancel an eligible contract:
To: MEBLER LIMITED, info@mebler.co.uk
I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the sale of the following goods:
Date:
Returns &
Exchanges
Standard products
Eligible standard products purchased online by consumers may be returned in accordance with the statutory cancellation rights described above.
Made-to-order products
A product being manufactured following an order does not by itself remove statutory cancellation rights.
Where a made-to-order product remains within the standard range and is not made to the customer's particular specifications or clearly personalised, the statutory rules may continue to apply.
Bespoke products
Where furniture has been genuinely made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised, the statutory cancellation exemption may apply.
This does not remove rights relating to faulty, damaged, incorrect or non-conforming goods.
Condition of returned goods
Customers may handle eligible goods to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
Where goods are handled beyond what is reasonably necessary and their value is diminished, the law may permit MEBLER to make an appropriate deduction from the refund.
Refunds &
Reimbursements
Where a customer is legally entitled to a refund, MEBLER will process the refund in accordance with applicable law.
For eligible statutory cancellations, MEBLER will generally refund the payments received, including the cost of standard delivery where required by law.
Where the customer selected a more expensive delivery option, MEBLER is generally only required to refund the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed or permitted by law.
Where permitted by law, MEBLER may delay reimbursement until the goods have been returned or the customer provides evidence that they have been sent back.
Faulty, Damaged
or Incorrect Goods
MEBLER aims to supply furniture that is of satisfactory quality, fit for its intended purpose where applicable, and as described.
If goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise do not conform to the contract, customers should contact MEBLER as soon as reasonably practicable.
Damage on delivery
Customers should inspect furniture following delivery where reasonably possible and notify MEBLER promptly of visible damage.
Photographs may be requested to assist with assessment and resolution.
Available remedies
Depending on the circumstances and the customer's statutory rights, remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
The MEBLER commercial warranty does not replace statutory consumer rights.
5-Year Structural
Warranty
MEBLER provides a five-year structural warranty for qualifying MEBLER furniture from the date of delivery.
The warranty is provided to the original purchaser and is not transferable to a subsequent owner.
What the warranty covers
Subject to the exclusions below, the warranty covers qualifying structural defects resulting from manufacturing defects or workmanship.
This includes qualifying structural failures and structural joint failures occurring during normal intended use.
The warranty applies to qualifying MEBLER furniture, including dining tables, dining furniture, seating, storage furniture, cabinets, consoles and bespoke furniture.
The warranty also applies to qualifying furniture supplied for commercial use, subject to the same warranty conditions.
Original purchaser: The warranty is provided to the original purchaser only.
Duration: Five years from the date of delivery.
Structural defects: Qualifying manufacturing and workmanship defects are covered.
Structural joints: Qualifying structural joint failures are covered.
Commercial use: Commercial use is covered, subject to the warranty conditions.
Labour: Reasonable labour associated with an approved warranty repair is covered.
Collection and return: The customer is responsible for reasonable collection, transport or return costs associated with a warranty claim.
What is not covered
- Normal wear and tear.
- Accidental damage.
- Damage caused by misuse or neglect.
- Damage caused by incorrect assembly or installation.
- Outdoor use unless the product has specifically been designed and supplied for outdoor use.
- Cosmetic changes caused by ordinary use.
- Natural movement, expansion, contraction or characteristics of genuine timber that do not constitute structural failure.
- Damage caused by abnormal humidity, excessive moisture, excessive heat or unsuitable environmental conditions.
- Damage caused by unsuitable cleaning products or chemicals.
- Unauthorised repairs, alterations or modifications.
Unauthorised modifications
Any unauthorised modification, alteration or repair to the furniture may terminate the warranty.
Making a warranty claim
Warranty claims should be submitted to info@mebler.co.uk with the original order details and a description of the problem.
MEBLER may request photographs, videos or other reasonable information to assess the claim.
If a claim is accepted, MEBLER will determine the appropriate remedy in accordance with the warranty and applicable law.
Statutory rights remain unaffected. The five-year warranty is a voluntary commercial warranty and does not limit any statutory rights available to a consumer.
Natural Materials
& Craftsmanship
MEBLER uses natural solid hardwoods including oak and walnut. Natural timber contains variations in grain, colour, figuring, knots and other characteristics.
These characteristics are inherent to genuine natural timber and mean that the finished furniture may differ slightly from photographs, samples or other examples.
Timber can naturally change over time due to exposure to light, temperature and humidity.
Care
Customers should follow the care instructions supplied with their furniture and avoid excessive moisture, direct heat, prolonged direct sunlight and unsuitable cleaning products.

MEBLER aims to resolve complaints fairly, professionally and as efficiently as reasonably possible.
